It has only been a few weeks since the last posting, and during this time, aside from SEO activities, I have had the opportunity to implement a new technique to my existing design skills. These techniques are really nothing new, but instead incorporate the implementation of Adobe Illustrator and following this Adobe Photoshop for color rendering and effects. The basic creation of the line art was the first and simplest stage of this creation process. This in turn was followed by bringing this existing line art into Photoshop where various layer and masking techniques were implemented to create what you see here.

It is always interesting to hear peoples reaction to this piece as they, with the exception of just a few individuals, seam rather unimpressed by the results. They seem to indicate that it looks a little to realistic to be impressed by the results. This can, be interpreted as a complement, but from the position of the artist, a little more enthusiasm is always appreciated. As always your feedback is always welcome to this piece or any others posted on this blog or Vorzie Studios home page.

Vorzie Studios is available for graphic and web design projects to the Santa Rosa and surrounding Northern California region. Contact information can be found at the base of our home page at http://www.vorzie.com. Thank you for your time and interest.

Another Piece and SEO Feedback

It is interesting to me that through all of the SEO efforts on our part and a great start with a ranking of 5 across all of the major search engines that our rating appears to have fallen to 9th place. What is also a mystery, is that to the best of our knowledge Google has not yet run an update on their system. Therefore we should still be ranking higher than the 9th place that we are currently situated. So with that we will continue our optimization efforts and blogging to try and remain at the top, ok maybe not the top, but the next door neighbor to the top positions. Keep rooting for us, because I have always been told that persistence removes resistance.

The latest piece to grace the stages of the Vorzie blog is a school piece that we have been informed to market to pet stores. The piece is titled Dog and Cat Light Switches and is meant to have complementary images. We took this in the most general of instructions as we have used images that, yes the are complementary in that the images on the light switch plates are both of pets, although one is a serene basset hound and the other is a feline with an attitude. All of the class in addition to the instructor took to these pieces. In fact the image of the dog was later implemented into a poster piece to promote the graphic arts department at Santa Rosa Junior College.

Please remember that this and all of the other graphic pieces produced by Vorzie studios can be viewed at there homepage at http://www.vorzie.com. Thank you for reading.
